East Devon Choral Society (EDCS) is a welcoming choir, singing a broad repertoire. We cover many of the major choral works, as well as exploring other musical influences, such as gospel, folk, opera and songs from the shows. We meet weekly in Tiverton and work under the baton of our talented, enthusiastic conductor Andrew Daldorph. We also get together for a Saturday workshop once every term.
EDCS was established in 1973 and we enjoyed a gala concert to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2023.
We like to celebrate with additional social events, such as our annual dinner at the Hartnoll Hotel. At Christmas time, we often celebrate together with an informal ‘Carols and Mulled Wine’ evening. Members of the choir also gather informally to rehearse or to socialise.
